Auditober is a project of AssureSwarm. This site is the challenge's landing page with one form on it. It collects as little as possible, and this page says plainly what that is.
Challenge signups
When you sign up for Auditober, we store the email address you typed, the domain part of it, which form you used, when you first signed up, when you last submitted, and how many times you have submitted. That is the whole record. We do not store your name, your IP address, your browser, or anything else alongside it.
We use it for one thing: to email you the challenge rules and how to enter when they are announced. We do not sell it, rent it, share it, or add it to any other list.
The record is kept until the challenge has finished and the winners have been contacted, after which it is deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner, at any time, and we will.
Why we ask for a work email
The form accepts work addresses only and refuses well-known personal and temporary mailbox providers. The check runs in your browser and again on our server. If your address is refused, nothing is stored at all: the refusal happens before anything is written down.
Stopping abuse of the form
To stop a script from flooding the form, our server keeps a short-lived counter attached to a scrambled form of the visitor's IP address. It holds no other data, we do not use it to identify anyone, and it deletes itself automatically about two hours after it is created.
Where it is stored
In Google Cloud Firestore, in a Google Cloud project we control, hosted in the United States. Google acts as our processor and does not use the data for its own purposes. Nobody outside AssureSwarm has access to it.
Analytics
If, and only if, you agree to it, we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which sections they read, so we can make the page better. We ask first; you can decline, and you can change your mind from the “Cookie choices” link in the footer. We don't use analytics for advertising, we don't allow Google to use the data for its own ad products, and we anonymize IP addresses. Your email address is never sent to analytics: when a signup succeeds or is refused, we record only that it happened and why.
Server logs
Like any website, the hosting infrastructure (Google Cloud) keeps standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) to operate and secure the site. These are separate from analytics and are not tied to your identity. Email addresses are deliberately kept out of these logs.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will do it. There is no form to fill in and no account to create.
